Aeternum's Advantages in 3D Construction Printing

There’s rapid growth in three-dimensional construction printing (3DCP), because of the flexibility it offers in the shape of buildings and other structures, and ongoing advances in robotic construction equipment.

Aeternum-3D is a next-generation 3D-printing mortar offering significant advantages over OPC-based printing materials. Aeternum-3D has all of the durability advantages – and low-carbon footprint – described earlier.

Aeternum-3D can be customized to meet specific project requirements including printability, setting time, and strength development. Its lighter color versus OPC-based material increases surface reflectance (albedo), improving the thermal performance of buildings, especially in urban heat islands. It’s also highly-suitable for marine and coastal applications, such as seawalls or artificial reefs. It sets and cures with salt water, and gets stronger with continued exposure. Its pH also provides a more congenial environment for colonization by marine organisms, compared to OBC-based 3D-printing materials.
